Our client is a global data solutions swiss private company with over 1,800 employees located in offices around the globe, including the Americas, Europe and Asia. For its R&D Dept., we are searching for a new Embedded (Firmware) Software Engineer (M/F).
Skills required:
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of proven working experience in C/C++ for embedded systems
Good understanding of real time operating systems, concept, design, and patterns
Experience in Testing and Firmware quality assurance including real time debugging
Fluent English
Autonomy in managing tasks and ability to coordinate projects and teams effectively
Good communication skills, team player, pro-active, experience in managing sprints based on priorities
What we consider a plus:
Good knowledge of common wireless communications protocols, such as Wi-Fi, BLE, GPRS, LTE M Cat 1, NBIoT
Good knowledge of Localization solutions as GNSS, LBS
Experience on statistical algorithms
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Develop and maintain embedded firmware application for Company products
Design and implement firmware applications for nRF family or similar
Application-level programming of PET trackers, RFID systems, weighing indicators
Test Firmware using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers
Coordinate and manage tasks around real-time programming
Investigate on quality issues and non-conformities
Support Product management and talk directly with customers on their needs when needed
Leading the project: this position offers a unique opportunity to grow in the role as project owner, taking full leadership and ownership of projects
